Sara Ramirez is a popular Mexican-American singer, actress and writer. Sara Ramirez was brought up with her American mother. She faced a lot racial taunts that led her to feel unwelcome. In her 9th year that she started to feel more confident after receiving a rousing ovation in an audition. The experience not only increased her confidence but altered the direction in which she went on to pursue her career. The 22-year-old graduated with an education from the Julliard School in New York. In the year 23 she made her debut at the Broadway in Paul Simon's The Capeman and in films in You've got Mail. The part in The Lady of The Lake became her most memorable breakthrough, bringing an award for her performance, the Tony Award in addition to the acclaim of critics for her performance. She gained more recognition when she appeared in Grey's Anatomy on ABC as Dr. Callie Torres. She is also a known artist and produced an extended show. She is also an activist and works extensively to promote LGBT rights.
