Andra Day and Andi Matichak
Cassandra Monique Batie aka Andra Day is an American R&B/Soul musician and singer. She has won the Grammy Award and Children's and Family Emmy Award. Golden Globe Award as well as Academy Award nominations are also among her accolades. Andra Day, a talented artist and songwriter, with a strong background in blues, gospel and gospel who has a flair for the current world. She is much more than an R&B throwback specialist. The ability she has to mix her influences of jazz, gospel and blues in the R&B genre is impressive. The debut of her album Cheers to The fall (2015) she broke into the Top Ten R&B/hip hop charts as well as securing a few Grammy nominations. In 2017 her performance on Marshall's music was recognized by the Academy Award. Billie Holiday (2021). Andra Day was born Cassandra Monique Batie and grew in Edmonds Washington. While in San Diego, she attended the School of Creative and Performing Arts as well as performed in churches. After she graduated from the school, she gravitated towards contemporary R&B and pop music, but was eventually drawn back to the classic jazz and soul vocalists she heard in her youth. It was quickly taken up by DJs and they began playing it on the radio. She then joined Warner Bros. Records. Adrian Gurvitz was the producer of her debut album, Cheers for the Fall. The album featured Rise Up which is now a worldwide song of the social justice movement. Day was nominated to win two Grammy Awards, with the latter being Best R&B Album. She came out with The United States Vs. Billie Holiday in 2019, an album that explores the life and career of jazz legend Billie Holiday. The same year, she starred on screen in The United States Vs. Billie Holiday (2020), an autobiography of the career of Holiday. Andi Mattichak was an American actor. Her first appearance was on television series such as 666 Park Avenue, Orange Is the New Black and Blue Bloods before making her film debut with Allyson Nelson on the horror film series Halloween as well as its sequels. Andi matichak is an American actor born in Framingham on the 3rd of May, 1994.
